The Active After School Program is proudly run by the Weipa Aquatic & Sports Precinct.

Basketball is the sport of choice for Term 4! Come on down and learn some basketball skills that will help you improve your game!

Sessions will be held each Tuesday at the Weipa Storm Shelter commencing from Tuesday 3rd of October 2023 till 21st November 2023.

3:30pm - 4:15pm (Kindy/Prep)
4:30pm - 5:15pm (Grade 1&2)
5:30pm-6:15pm (Grade 3/4)
6:30pm-7:15pm (Grade 5-8)

No experience required, your child will learn but not limited to:Ball skills & drills, correct stroke techniques, a variety of fitness exercises, fun games and activities.

Kids will need to bring:

• Water bottle
• Must be wearing sandshoes

A safety reminder: children attending must be dropped off/picked up by a parent or guardian once the session has finished.

To ensure that sessions start on time can we please ask for parents to arrive in a timely manner to allow for time to sign their child in. Parents are welcome to stay for the duration of their child’s session however if children are dropped off, a parent or guardian is to arrive to collect their child at least 5 minutes prior to the end of the session.

I acknowledge and agree that their use of the services, will be undertaken entirely at their own risk. I acknowledge and agree that I will not hold Weipa Town Authority liable for any injuries, losses, damages, costs, charges, expenses or liabilities what soever sustained, suffered or incurred by my child for any of the services provided by Weipa Town Authority
